Scout Sunday
Chandler Baptist Church has invited us to attend service on Sunday February 4th at 10:30am for Scout Sunday.
All Scouts/Scouters in attendance are required to wear your Full Class A Uniform.
Crowder campout
Meet at Chandler Baptist church 5pm to load water and the trailer. Be sure to pack wet and cold weather gear for this one.

Mr. Harms will be at Chandler for anyone who wants to come and work on merit badges or rank advancements.
Nut Orders
The second round of orders will be due November 27, 2023. The committee decided the fundraiser will be 50/50 spilt of proceeds for boys. If someone wants to pay by Venmo, have them Venmo money to you and then one sum can be sent to Kristen with order details. * Venmo payments without Scout information will not be applied to scout accounts. Please ensure all names, payment and order details are accurate and documented prior to sending.
Service Hours
Martha Lafite needs a trail cleared and this is a chance to gain 4 service hours.

Christmas Tree Tagging
Trees will be tagged for holiday fundraiser November 21st 6:30pm, meet in Lowes parking lot. No class A necessary.
Christmas Tree pick up dates are December 30 and January 6th.
Campout at Mr Whitmans
Meet at the Whitman residence 5:30pm, 4755 SE Fox Run Road, Lathrop, MO 64465. Anyone camping must be wearing blaze orange the whole time due to the beginning of deer hunting season. This can be vest, hat, shirt, at least one item to ensure visibility when outside the tent.
Mizzou Merit badge university 2023
We are excited to announce the return of Mizzou MBU, October 28, 2023. Join us and over a thousand Scouts from across the region for a day of learning and fun! Here you will find all the information you need regarding the merit badge course catalog, prequisites, & overnight-stay options. Merit badges will be offered on Saturday only. There will be a mixture of full-day and half-day merit badges. Please review the information below:
Registration deadline is Oct. 21st at 11:59pm.
Scout cost (all registrations include instruction, lunch, facilities, & a patch) - $27 per Scout
Adult cost - there is no cost for adults to attend. Adults can purchase a lunch and patch package for $12
Be sure to pre-order an event t-shirt! Short-sleeve t-shirts are $20.00 each. Long-sleeve t-shirts are $22.00. Shirts will be pre-order only. You can order apparel in the registration. Shirt design is coming soon!!!
Lunch: All Scouts will be provided lunch. Adults may purchase an optional lunch in the registration.
Overnight Options: If units are interested in staying overnight, there are several campgrounds in the Columbia area including but not limited to: Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, Finger Lakes State Park, & Boone County Fairgrounds. Please make arrangements with your desired camping area.

Leave No Trace Trainer's Course
There will be a Leave No Trace Trainer's Course held at Camp Naish this fall. October 27-29. The course is open to adults and scouts 14 years and older. The course includes 2 overnights, class work and outdoor experiences. Register Online

For returning members, annual recharter fees are as follows, $119 scout, $99 registered adult.

Invention Jamboree Lake of the Ozarks
Join us October 13-15, 2023 at the Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation for the Invention Jamboree 2023! Do not miss out on this event! Space is limited!
Basic Information:
When: October 13-15, 2023
Where: Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation (525 Camp Hohn Dr Gravois Mills, MO 65037)
Who: All Scouts BSA, Venturing, Exploring, and their Families & Friends (In-Council & Out-of-Council)
Cost: $35 per participant. The cost includes all program supplies, invention lab project, two meals (lunch & dinner Saturday), and a patch.
Aduts can register at $25 per participant.
Make sure to pre-order an Invention Jamboree t-shirt! T-Shirts will be $16 each.

Lawson Lake campout with Weblos
Be at Chandler by 5pm, leaving at 5:30 and we need to bring water. Bring your fishing poles frisbee golf equipment if you are interested.
Liberty Fall Festival Fundraiser
The Cub Scouts will be selling food and are letting us sell water as a fundraiser for the troop. Please sign up for a 3 hour time slot. Wear your Class B with scout shorts, belt, and shirt tucked in. Friday 9/22/23 11a-9pm and Saturday 9/23/23 9a-9pm. Contact Mr. McBride for sign up sheet
